The subject of research is the phenomenon of resonant switching between diffraction rays in the reflected light of the terahertz metasurfaces. As a result of research: • The basic relations for the direct and reverse scenarios of diffraction of a plane electromagnetic wave on a mutual periodic metasurface structured in an oblique grid are formulated. • Vector relations between the amplitudes of the spatial harmonics of the scattered field in the direct and reverse scenarios of wave diffraction on a metasurface with an arbitrary oblique periodic cell located on a metal screen are obtained on the base of the Lorentz lemma. • The basic relations that allows obtaining and properties analysing own polarization states of field fro the studied metasurface are formulated. • Conditions of formation of non-specular reflection of terahertz radiation by a disk metasurface located on a metal screen are obtained, and, therefore, it was shown the posibility of non-specular reflection zones forming in the region of simultaneous existence of the disk eigen-oscilations and the possibility of achieving polarization selection of non-specular reflection by dielectric substrate. • For the first time, the possibility of mechanical control of the terahertz field state within a metasurface formed by two arrays of dielectric bars, which can rotate freely relative to each other, is shown. The results of the current stage of the project are the basis for further creation of a model of non-reciprocal compact photonics devices with characteristics that can change over time and adapt to user requirements.
