The main objectives of the study: analysis of the theoretical and methodological foundations of trade and economic wars; disclosure of the latest forms and mechanisms of trade and economic rivalry as a component of modern hybrid wars; systematization of international experience of application by states and companies of traditional open and latent tools for protection of national interests in foreign markets in the XXI century. through WTO mechanisms and judicial systems of individual states; substantiation of priority directions of modernization of regulatory policy of modern Ukraine in the field of foreign trade in view of the latest trends and challenges of international economic rivalry both at the level of regional trade relations and bilateral relations.
