The aim of the study is the creation of new initial material on the basis of hybridization and study of the nature of inheritance of basic traits and selection of new forms for further breeding work. The main results of the work. In the analysis of the descendants of the first generation by plant height, the highest heterosis by trait was observed in hybrids, where the maternal form was a tall parental component and depression where the lowest parent component used. The degree of dominance of the trait was observed in the absence of dominance, as well as incomplete and over-dominance in positive and negative values. According to the number of seeds in the seedbox, the effect of heterosis (Gi) was observed in 5 hybrid combinations at the level of 4.3% (Zorya-87 / Rushnychok) to 16.1% (Vodogray / Ivanivsky), while depression in hybrid combinations was in ranges from -1.3% (Rushnychok / Original) to -10.1% (Vrutchiy / Sympatyk). In the previous varietal test, 5 samples of Marina / Ariane were selected; 1501; (Marina / Viking) / Rushnychok; Viera x Swalof; Pennant / T-16, which exceeded the grade standard Zorya 87 in terms of a set of economic and useful characteristics: the yield of straw by 0.38-0.60 t / ha (standard 3.49 t / ha), the yield of fiber by 0.22 -0.31 t / ha (standard 0.92 t / ha), seed yield by 0.05 - 0.17 t / ha (standard 0.74 t / ha). According to the results of the competitive variety testing, four selection samples were selected that exceed the standard of Zorya 87 variety in terms of straw, fiber, and seed yield (1505 (2016); (Kalin.2 / Cor.3) / Mog. 2; Ariane / Irma; Ukr. 2 / Jianne) by 0.48-0.90 t / ha, 0.25-0.37 t / ha and 0.14-0.18 t / ha, respectively.
