Podgorny Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The object of research is the rotor of a steam turbine. The aim of the work is to develop scientific and technical solutions that will increase the allowable number of high-power steam turbine starts by changing the design and heating conditions of high-pressure rotors during preparation for start-up and start-up, based on studies of non-stationary thermal and thermally stressed state of the rotor. Methodological approaches to the calculation of the non-stationary thermal and thermally stressed state of steam turbine elements, as well as the analysis of oscillations of a turbine rotor on hydrodynamic bearings have been developed. A method for determining heat transfer coefficients and the methodological approach to definition of thermal boundary conditions on surfaces of elements of the cylinder of a high pressure is created. An algorithm that takes into account the process of film condensation of steam on the surfaces of the rotor elements is created. Non-stationary thermal and thermally stressed state of the high-pressure rotor with the modified front end seal holder under new heating conditions have been studied. Recommendations for reducing stresses and increasing rotor life were developed. A geometric model of the bearing oil film of a hydrodynamic bearing of arbitrary shape as well as methods of analysis of rotor oscillations on hydrodynamic bearings have been developed. Rotor oscillations on elliptical hydrodynamic bearings have been investigated. Scope of results - JSC "Turboatom" (Kharkov) and other organizations and manufacturing enterprises of the turbine industry.
