The study uses classical methods of scientific cognition, such as objectivity, truth, provability, consistency, etc., and relies on axiological and comparative approaches. During 2020, the first (initial) stage of the GDR was implemented, the content of which was: a) a study of the current state of global humanities; b) determination of theoretical and methodological principles of Ukrainian humanitarian policy; c) research of humanitarian transformations of the Ukrainian society in modern conditions; d) writing research on project issues; e) their approbation at conferences, round tables and other scientific events. The types of global dangers, threats, risks and challenges in the humanitarian sphere of Ukraine are highlighted. The dynamics of humanitarian priorities in the political life of Ukrainian society is studied. It is shown that the humanitarian priorities of state policy should be determined by the national interests of the whole society, ensuring the rights and freedoms of citizens. A conceptual and categorical apparatus relevant to the subject of research has been developed. An analysis of the concepts of sustainable development of Ukraine as a democratic European state. The study of the importance of humanitarian priorities for the consolidation of Ukrainian society in the context of social and value dimensions of life, in which the methodology of social sciences is systematically linked to the paradigms and methods of Ukrainian science, is conceptualized. One of the forms of genocide policy, namely the crime of deportation, which was practiced by the Russian state throughout its existence, is analyzed.
