The results of the work: The object of research is import substituting and resource-saving technologies for the production of non-ferrous alloy castings for dual-purpose engines with high complex of properties The object of research is import substituting and resource-saving technologies for the production of non-ferrous alloy castings for dual-purpose engines with high complex of properties. The results of the work are: The use of dispersed graphite powders (PG) for the modification of magnesium alloys is a promising technology for improving their properties: a noticeable refinement of macrograins has been established. The addition of PG into the melt also contributed to an increase in the strength of the metal with a slight decrease in plasticity, while the heat resistance of the alloy remained practically unchanged. As a modifier for magnesium alloys, it is advisable to use wastes from the production of Ukrgrafit JCS, which makes it possible to improve the quality indicators of castings and reduce the cost of casting. Waste from ZTMK salt chlorinator melt (SCM) was used as a flux in the smelting of the secondary magnesium alloy. The mechanical properties of heat-treated samples from magnesium alloys of research heats using SCM had a higher level. At the same time, the strength characteristics of the alloy increased by 25%, and the ductility by 30%. The use of SCM as a flux in the smelting of secondary magnesium alloy will significantly reduce the cost of its production. Recommendations have been developed for the technological process of refining the magnesium alloy ML5 using waste from metallurgical enterprises.
