A study of methods for modeling the discharge characteristics of insulators depending on the degree of contamination of their surface. The conditions of safe operation of insulators in the conditions of the increased pollution of the atmosphere are shown. The peculiarities of discharges on the surface of insulators in conditions of high humidity and environmental pollution have been studied.
