The initial variety study of selected promising samples of rare fruit crops was carried out and the best samples were selected for use in the further selection process and for cultivation in the steppe zone of Ukraine. During the reporting period, 13 samples were introduced, including: 10 samples of apricot, 3 samples of persimmon. 13 samples were certified, including: apricot 10, persimmon 3. In order to obtain new promising, resistant to the conditions of the region forms and varieties, intraspecific crossing of Asimina triloba was carried out, between promising samples, 130 flowers were pollinated, 11 fruits were obtained. Crossing between selected samples of persimmon was carried out, 152 flowers were pollinated, 9 fruits were obtained. In selection work to create new varieties of uncommon fruit plants, which are adapted to stressful environmental conditions, 16 sources of valuable traits were used: azimines of three-bladed, persimmons. According to frost resistance, drought resistance and economically valuable features, 2 samples of persimmon and 1 sample of jujube were selected. Pomological researches of samples of azimina, apricot, jujube, persimmon, dogwood are carried out. In order to restore and replenish persimmon collections, 11 samples were inoculated and 9 samples were fixed. 2 samples of persimmon were vegetatively propagated.
