A new source material of rice was created by the method of hybridization, information on the nature of inheritance and variability of quantitative traits of rice hybrids was obtained, and a valuable breeding material was created by the method of individual selection. In the competitive variety testing of early maturing varieties, the lines UIR-0504.18, UIR-3995.15, UIR-4342.15 and UIR-3095.14 were identified, which showed a yield of 8.24-9.40 t / ha versus 8.09 for the standard. Among mid-season forms, the best were short-grain lines UIR-9772, UIR-5620.17, UIR-5577.17 and UIR-5665.17 with a yield of 9.14-10.17 t / ha versus 8.79 t / ha for the Viscount variety, among long-grain lines - the line UIR-8308 (10.52 t / ha) versus 8.63 for the standard.
