In studies with the sowing of peas in the winter, data were obtained on the content of sugars in plants and roots. It was noted that the content of sugars in pea plants is similar to winter wheat. Biochemical analysis of aboveground mass and plant roots of varieties of peas sown for the winter showed that the level of sugars in plant roots (6.7-23.1%) was lower than in leaves and stems (12.1-27.3%). The level of carotenoids in the vegetative mass was 98.8-134.6 mg%, and flavonoids 6.16-9.32%. Also for winter sowing varieties were recommended Sweet, Darunok Stepu and Cruise breeding Plant Breeding & Genetics Institute – National Center of Seed and Cultivar Investigation. The need to use weeds to protect against pea crops during winter is proven, as evidenced by the increase in productivity per plant compared to control (without processing). As a result of the research program 2019-2020, a new semi-dwarf whiskered type pea variety of Kozachok peas was transferred to the state grade. As well as the state grade of the Veleten variety. Cultivation of varieties allows energy saved at harvest due to a single-phase harvesting (direct harvesting).
