Purpose: to study the possibilities of creating (setting up production) disposable means of restricting the movement of detainees in the form of plastic handcuffs of domestic production for the needs of units of the National Guard of Ukraine (hereinafter - NMU). Research methods: the study of design features and technical characteristics of research objects was conducted by comparative analysis of existing samples of handcuffs, which are presented on the world market and in Ukraine, as well as by systematic analysis of information materials obtained at specialized exhibitions, special literature, patents, websites, who manufacture and supply this product. Results of the work: the result of the work is proposals on the possibility of production and the feasibility of using disposable means of restricting the movement of detainees in the form of plastic handcuffs of domestic production. The main criterion influencing the choice of the object of research as a prototype is its compliance with certain criteria (technical parameters), which are proposed in this report.
