Research and application of parametric X-radiation of relativistic particles and miniature accelerators popup.stage_title Head Gussev Yevgen V., Registration Date 24-01-2021 Organization National Science Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology" popup.description2  A high-current accelerating-focusing channel with an energy of 23 MeV with a modified alternating-phase focusing of a linear resonant continuous accelerator for deuterons as a driver of a neutron source has been developed by the method of numerical simulation. It is shown that, on the basis of modified alternating-phase focusing, it is possible to create high-current radiation clean accelerators in the intermediate energy range. Analytical and numerical studies of the radial-phase stability of the charged particles motion in channels with combined high-frequency focusing have been carried out. Two versions of the accelerating channel of protons high-current accelerators with combined high-frequency focusing in the intermediate energy range have been developed. An experimental study of the effect of the formation length on the radiation during X-ray transition radiation of electrons with energies from 1 to 6 GeV in multilayer targets has been carried out. It is shown that if the formation length is greater than the spatial period of the multilayer target, then the X-ray transition radiation is suppressed.
