Metallurgical processes (in iron ore sintering, direct reduction, utilized for blast furnace injection, adsorbent for pollutant control, carbon deposition, in electric arc furnaces and other processes) use bioreduction, biofuels, bioсoke, and carbon nanotubes as an admixture in powder metallurgy. The novelty of the research is the use of raw materials, fuels, and reducing agents of products to be obtained from the processing of plant biomass wastes instead of the part of combustible fossil fuels. The proposed approach can reduce the dependence of metallurgy on fossil fuels and their processing products, utilize biomass-processing waste, create new jobs, and significantly reduce emissions of harmful gases in high-temperature metallurgical processes.
