A tool for the use of phytotechnologies based on the action of higher aquatic plants for the treatment of all categories of wastewater in settlements, namely: treatment of surface wastewater in built-up areas and enterprises; additional treatment of domestic wastewater; improving the ecological condition rivers in Ukraine, especially small rivers. It was substantiated the usage of phytoremediation technologies in water consumption systems from eutrophic surface water bodies. The usage of the technologies is based on phytoremediation processes in an ecologically acceptable and economically promising direction of improving water treatment conditions from eutrophic water bodies, creating water treatment systems, improving the ecological condition of rivers, especially small ones, domestic wastewater treatment, surface and sewage treatment.
