The aim of the work is to determine and study the Ascanian selection sheep gene pools genetic structures features by molecular genetic markers (QTL genes) that have developed in the process of their creation; obtaining new knowledge about the molecular-genetic mechanisms of the relationship between integrated gene complexes for genetic systems of marker genes with the intensity of the economically useful characteristics formation the different productivity directions sheep and substantiation of methodological foundations regarding the selective value of combined genotypes and the effectiveness of their use in breeding programs for sheep breeding. Research methods - molecular genetic (PCR-RFLP), population genetic: - structural genes influencing the level of sheep performance (FecB, BMP15, MSTN, GH, CAST, β-Lg, PRL, KRT 1.2 and KAP 1.3) were determined using DNA technologies; - identified the individual genotypes of sheep and studied the sheep breeds features of the different productivity directions gene pools; - studied polymorphism of Ascanian selection sheep QTL - genes in particular: GH, CAST, β-LG, KRT 1.2 and KAP 1.3; - the search for interrelationships of the studied QTL - genes polymorphism with productive traits of Ascanian selection sheep was carried out; - the possibility of using polymorphism the structural genes to establish the genetic level of different productivity directions gene pools by DNA markers was evaluated; On the basis of the growth hormone gene polymorphism, a “Method for assessing, selecting and predicting the level of development the sheep meat productivity” has been developed. A system for breeding sheep with different productivity directions using DNA technologies has been developed.
