 The following research methods were used in the work: zootechnical - assessment of productivity indicators, reproductive, fattening and meat productivity; analytical - analysis of literary sources; biometric and statistical - collection and processing of breeding information, determination of population-statistical parameters using computer and software. Information and analytical databases of farm animals productivity the studied breeds have been formed. The current state of the cattle, pigs and sheep gene pool their quantitative composition, and genealogical structure have been studied. The reproduction productive traits level of genotypes in herds was determined by lines and genera and by the age of their productive use. Revealed genetic features in the experimental herds. A model has been developed for the conservation of the farm animal breeds small populations in the Ukraine southern region. This model is based on a wide range of monitoring studies: the quantitative composition of the livestock, the structure of the breeds' gene pool herds, the dynamics of breeding changes in populations, the level of genetic potential and breeding value of genotypes; the structure of phenotypic and genotypic variability, the choice of traits that have a high correlation with the main economically useful traits; using the principles of stabilizing selection for consolidation and increasing homozygosity; determination of the main breeding traits inheritance type, degree of relationship, adaptive ability; use of genotypes immunogenetic analysis of the gene pool herds populations structure.
