The purpose of the research is to select fodder agrocenoses for pasture-haymaking for feeding sheep under the conditions of agroecological fodder production using innovative competitive perennial grasses adapted to the extreme climatic conditions of the Ukraine Southern Steppe. Methods - laboratory and field. High-performance forage agrocenoses for feeding sheep under the arid conditions of the Ukraine south for pasture and hay-making purposes have been created from innovative varieties of drought-resistant perennial forage grasses. Their composition consists of Elytrigia elongate, Dactylis glomerata and Onobrychis arenaria. A database of phenological, biomorphological observations, indicators the economically useful assessment of created agrocenoses was obtained. Variants with the ratio of the cereal-legume component 100 + 100 and 100 + 70% provided the highest content of the legume component 82-55%, the highest yield of green mass 79.5-73.7 c / ha and hay collection 27.0-25.5 c / ha with a level of profitability for pasture (49.6-31.1%) and hayfields (23.0-53.0%) use.
