The object of research is the formation of young goats and the process of improving the system of its evaluation. Research methods - zootechnical, genetic-population, laboratory, biometric statistics using computer and software. Experimental kids were obtained from 3 purebred alpine goats. Live weight of kids at birth in group I was 4.8 kg, II - 4.0 kg. At weaning at 2 months, the goats of group I had a live weight of an average of 24.4 kg, and II at weaning at 1.6 months weighed an average of 12.7 kg. According to the results of weighing at 3 months, the goats of group I weighed 25.1 kg, and II - 19.0. By 6-6.5 months of age, the live weight of kids of group 1 (72 heads) was 29.9 kg, and the second (34 heads) - 28.9 kg. At 8.7 months, due to the higher growth rate, the former weighed an average of 39.3 kg, while the latter only 36.7 kg with a significant difference.
