The aim of the work is to develop norms for soluble and insoluble in the rumen protein to ensure complete protein feeding of Merino sheep, taking into account modern methodological foundations for rationing animal nutrition. Research methods: zootechnical (conducting experiments on animals), biochemical (analysis of the feed rations chemical composition, animal blood), economic, statistical and analytical. The influence of diets with different fractional protein composition on the level of productive traits development in ewes and fattening young animals was found. It has been established that in the rumen the content of soluble and insoluble protein of sheep diets these age and sex groups should be, respectively, 69 and 31% of its total amount. This provides an increase of 13.0% (up to 33.5 kg) in the ewes' milk yield, an increase of 10.0% (up to 300 g) in the growth rate of lambs during the suckling period, an increase of 16% in shearing of washed fiber and contributes to an improvement of 12.9 % (201 g versus 178 g in control) of the average daily gains dynamics in fattening lamb rams with an improvement in the conversion of feed to sheep products.
