The parameters of transient processes caused by alterations of operation modes and depressurization of the pipeline are studied. Mathematical tools for leak detection based on the data of gas flow parameters measurement and acoustic emission signals have been developed. On this basis, a methodology for monitoring the integrity of main gas pipelines and approaches to automating their management are proposed.
