During the solar cycle 24 the number of strong geomagnetic storms and high-energy solar energetic particle events was low compared to the cycle 23. As a result of low ambient pressure in the heliosphere the anomalous expansion of coronal mass ejection expansion was observed in cycle 24 due to the which the number of strong storms was much smaller. According to observations of solar wind parameters in cycle 24 there was a decrease in the flux density of solar wind and its pressure in comparison with manifestations of the cycle 23 of solar activity. However, seasonal, geographical location and daily time have a significant influence on the passing of ionospheric disturbances.
