The purpose of the work is to study the current state of the working of the financial system of Ukraine and assess the prospects for its development in the context of European integration reforms, as well as to substantiate measures to ensure the effective development of its components. The first part of the report includes the development of scientific and methodological bases of substantiation of macroeconomic determinants of provision the independence of the central bank; investigation of the methodological foundations for assessing the quality of banking services; the correlation of aggregated data with the data of banks on the level of obligators’ defaults; investigation of the influence of anti-crisis state control methods on the choice of a banking strategy after financial crises; proposals on the development of consolidated banking supervision in Ukraine based on European standards. The second part of the report examines a new model of public debt management, taking into account the experience of foreign countries; apart from that, the world and national experience in managing the debt sustainability of the state and its determinants were summarized. The third part of the report includes a description of the periodization of the development of the financial sector and financial supervision in Ukraine; carrying out the assessment and reduction of international principles to the national practice of financial supervision; development of scientific and methodological approaches for assessing the impact of the state of the financial sector on the state and quality of an enterprise financial architecture; consideration of neobanks as a new business model of financial intermediation.
