It was first shown that technical (crude) glycerin, which is a by-product of biodiesel production, can be used to accumulate Pseudonadsoniella brunnea biomass. For the first time, data were obtained on the pharmacokinetics of melanin produced by the black yeast strain Pseudonadsoniella brunnea 470 FCKU. It was found that melanin is retained on the wound surface of the skin for a long time, providing a long-lasting dermatotropic effect. The obtained data reveal new molecular biochemical mechanisms of dermatotropic action of melanin and prove its cytoprotective effect in esophageal burns.
