The research method is a physical and numerical experiment. Based on the developed numerical models, the features of the formation of 3D vortex perturbations in the boundary layer are shown in the presence of a local periodic perturbation source on a flat surface. The parameters of the oscillatory motion of the wing profile are determined, which result in the flow detachment and the propulsive force generation. The influence of change in the direction of heat flow and the value of Reynolds number on the processes of the vortex structure formation downstream is determined at the transient flow regime. The results of methodical physical experiment and numerical modelling are obtained, which demonstrate the influence of flow non-stationarity on the vortex structures formation on a flat surface with a system of oval holes.
