The different character of changes in the activity and isoenzyme composition of chitinase and β-1,3-glucanase in wheat seedlings at the infection by pathogens, the action of salicilic (SA) and jasmonic (JA) acids depending on the resistance of wheat varieties to diseases was established. Changes in the content of hydrogen peroxide, lipid peroxidation products and the activity of ROS-scavenger enzymes , catalase, peroxidase, glutathione peroxidase, ascorbate peroxidase), the content of reduced glutathione and ascorbate in wheat seedlings and plants at the stages of flag leaf, earing in varieties and introgressione lines of winter bread wheat, which differed in the level of resistance to fungal and viral diseases due to infection by pathogens were found. Soluble lectins from maize seedlings grown in condition water deficiency, hyperthermia and the combined action of these factors were isolated and purified using salting out, affinity chromatography on bromocyanactivated ovomucoid Sepharose 4B. The obtained results showed a significant increase in the activity of lectins at the action of stressors in drought resistant lines compared with non-drought-resistant ones. The isolated lectins had a molecular weight of about 50,0 kDa and increased affinity to N-acetylglucosamine, fructose-6-phosphate. The influence of salicylic and jasmonic acids on the chain of signaling pathways, which lead to the expression of protective genes and the formation of resistance of wheat plants to phytopathogens, has been determined.
