The purpose of the research is to create new scientific knowledge on the development and combination of effective ways to prevent corrosion of steel reinforcement in alkali-activated slag cement concretes obtained from high consistency mixes to increase the durability of reinforced concrete structures operated in aggressive environments. The influence of the composition and features of the microstructure of slag-alkali cement on the transport of Cl-, SO42-, CO32- ions in alkali-activated slag cement concretes obtained from high consistency mixes was investigated. The nature of substances capable of corrosion inhibitor function and their role in the demonstration of protective functions by plasticized alkali-activated slag cement concretes regarding steel reinforcement depending on the term and conditions of its hardening both before and after the onset of aggressive media is also revealed.
