The subject of research - the laws of the process of counteracting the wind with an air curtain. The purpose of the work is to increase the efficiency of field spraying and save plant protection products by developing an adaptation to field sprayers, which will minimize the negative impact of wind on the quality of this process. Research method - theoretical, experimental. Marketing research on the competitiveness in the market of Ukraine and the world of a technical means for spraying field crops with a device for creating an air curtain around the flares of the sprayed liquid. Theoretically, the process of operation of the air curtain and its resistance to wind is analyzed, on the basis of which the structural scheme of the device for its creation is substantiated. A physical model was developed and fabricated, and experimental studies were conducted to determine rational structural and regime parameters of adaptation. An experimental sample of the device was developed and manufactured, its laboratory field research and production inspection were carried out.
