Study object – social land-use relations at a level of basic units of government in rural areas concerning spatial (in-)justice. Study objective – elaboration of applied aspects of spatial justice in land tenure of Amalgamated Territorial Communities towards sustainable development of rural areas. Study methods – analysis and synthesis; statistic, economic and mathematic; comparative analysis; grouping; heuristic (brainstorm and survey); spatial econometrics, spatial analysis. A theoretical framework to study spatial justice in land use is developed. The uniqueness of rights to land resources in developing food sovereignty, creation of a life spaсe and possibilities to work in rural areas, preservation of a rural way of life, protection of rural society and rural settlements is stressed. Manifestations of outrage on justice in land tenure at ATC level are revealed; potential threats to spatial justice caused by substantial ATC differentiation are identified: by the size of land use, tax revenues from land fees, volumes and directions of state subventions. Inequalities in contributions of corporate and individual land users to the formation of the economic base of rural development are revealed. Practical recommendations have been developed to increase the synergy and interaction of the state, local governments, rural communities, and civil society to prevent the formation of the causes of spatial injustice in land use and reduce its negative consequences.
