 MILITARY PERSONNEL – WAR VETERANS, ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE, JOINT FORCES OPERATION, PSYCHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS. The object of research is the professional activity of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) units. The purpose of research is to determine the psychological characteristics of military personnel of the AFU units directly involved in the Joint Forces operation (JFO) for further development of psychological correction programs, psychological preparation and a set of mindset trainings. The task of the research is to analyze the regulatory framework regarding the specifics of the professional activity of the AFU military personnel who take a direct part in (JFO); substantiate psychological requirements for the personality of military personnel; determine the psychological characteristics of military personnel that bring about to the effective performance of tasks during combat operations. The tasks set for the research work were fully carried out. The report materials can be used as a basis for the development of psychological training programs, taking into account the specifics of Ukrainian armed forces units activities, and for the development of psychocorrective programs for military personnel who have returned from the combat zone, and can also serve as a reason for revising the existing system of aptitude screening. Also, the results of the work can become the basis for developing a program of advanced training courses for psychological officers to conduct psychodiagnostics with military personnel.
