N. Sokolovsky» popup.description2  The object of research - data on the content of microelements in soils and agricultural products in areas of organic farming. The purpose of research is to improve the information and methodological basis for assessing the micronutrient status of soils of Ukraine in terms of their suitability for organic farming. Research methods - laboratory-analytical and statistical methods, generalization of available information. Theoretical results - a methodology for assessing the suitability of soils for organic farming in terms of content and availability of micronutrients has been developed, which is a system of approaches, principles, indicators, and techniques for assessing agroecological soil quality (according to the content of microelements) for organic farming. A strategy for optimizing the micronutrient nutrition of crops in areas of organic production has been developed. The concept of assessment of agroecological quality of soils (according to the content of microelements) for organic farming is formulated. Practical results - an information base for assessing the microelement status of soils of Ukraine on their suitability for organic farming has been formed. The forecast of provision of soils with microelements in the conditions of organic production taking into account soil-climatic conditions and buffering of soils to microelements is offered. The results were tested in 2018 and implemented in 2020 on an area of 4,5 hectares at the Institute of Vegetable and Melons Growing NAAS. The obtained results are recommended to be used for development of normative documents on quality assessment of organic plant products by content and ratio of microelements and assessment of microelement status of soils of organic farms to control their fertility by this indicator; it is also recommended for organic farms of all forms of ownership to ensure the cultivation of full-fledged microelement composition of crop products and soil health. Field of application - agriculture.
