Mathematical models have been developed to simulate the processes of electricity cost formation in the conditions of increasing the time of renewable energy sources (RES) in the structure of production capacities of IPS of Ukraine. Tools for simulation of pricing processes in the organized segment of the electricity market have been developed, which are used for experimental studies to assess the impact of electricity supply by RES stations on pricing processes in the market segment "day ahead" (MDA). According to the results of comparative analysis, a significant impact of RES stations on pricing in MDA was noted. Peculiarities of practical application of the rules of calculation of volumes and value of imbalances defined in the "Procedure for purchase by the guaranteed buyer of the electric power made from alternative energy sources" are investigated. It is shown that the current mechanism for calculating the cost of compensation for imbalances gives manufacturers the opportunity to reduce costs without reducing the amount of imbalances. Recommendations have been developed that fully avoid these negative effects. The results of the study are issued in the form of an analytical certificate and sent to the SE "Guaranteed Buyer". Based on the results of the review, a conclusion was obtained on the practical significance of the obtained results for making management decisions when making changes to the rules of electricity purchase.
