During the work the seismic wave fields in the layered medium has been modeled and the parameters of local earthquake foci determined; a method for determining the seismic moment tensor by inversion of direct P- and S-waves at a limited number of stations has been developed; using neural-network modeling, a method has been developed for refinement of the times of first P- and S-wave arrivals and depths of earthquake foci; using a new version of the graphic method, and a method for inversion of wave forms the mechanisms of local earthquakes has been determined, and their comparative analysis carried out; new non-traditional approaches to solving the main problems of seismological research have been applied. Deformometric, geoacoustic, temperature and other geophysical studies in seismically active zones of Transcarpathians has been carried out and geological and geophysical data analyzed to determine the relationship of stress-strain fields with the dynamics of seismic activity and fault-block tectonics of the region’s lithosphere.
