Objects of investigations: organic and inorganic semiconductors, thin solid films, nanostructured systems based on liquid crystals filled with inorganic nanoparticles or confined to inorganic nanoporous matrices, polymeric laser media, long-chain aliphatic compounds, two-photon-absorbing organic dyes, distributed feedback dye-doped liquid crystal laser. Methods of investigations: upgraded photo- and thermoluminescence methods, FTIR, Raman, and electron spectroscopy; differential scanning calorimetry, electron and atomic force microscopy, X-ray diffraction, femtosecond spectroscopy and nonlinear optics techniques. In this research work, the following main results are obtained. Based on a detailed study of new hybrid 2D-3D metal-organic perovskites with bulk (3D) and layered (2D) crystal structure, for the first time a significant difference was revealed in the charge carrier trap energy distribution depending on the chemical composition and structure of the perovskite. Based on a detailed comprehensive study of the stationary and time-separated spectral-luminescent properties, as well as evaluation of nonlinear optical parameters and the processes of ultrafast vibron relaxation of new squaraine-type molecules and bases of styrene dyes, a significant potential has been revealed for their practical use in two-photon fluorescent microscopy of biological objects as well as in organic optoelectronic devices.
