The starting components for the preparation of hydride nanocomposites were magnesium powder, nanopowders Ti (30-50 nm, 99.9%), TiO2 (<50 nm, 98%,) and Nd0.5Ho0.5FeO3 obtained by the salt-gel method. It has been shown that additives facilitate the hydrogenation of magnesium during grinding and significantly improve its absorption-desorption kinetics of hydrogen. The synthesized nanocomposites were tested as materials for hydrogen generating devices by hydrolysis in pure water and with the addition of transition metal chlorides and citric acid. It is shown that the ball grinding method can improve the reaction rate and the yield of hydrogen in the hydrolysis reactions of materials based on MgH2.
