Domestic poultry has high indicators of reproductive qualities in natural mating and artificial insemination, adaptive ability and productivity. A guide has been developed for determining gene polymorphism in chickens of various genotypic groups of the domestic gene pool behind microsatellite loci, which allows for effective genotyping of individuals for a complex of molecular genetic markers. It was found that with the average population values of heterozygosity indices, line 14 of the Poltavskaya clayey breed is in a state of equilibrium, other studied groups of chickens of Ukrainian breeding show a tendency to homozygosis of the population.
