As a result of these studies, 3 genera and 203 species were first recorded for the fauna of Ukraine, as well as 2 subfamilies, 20 genera and 104 species of Hymenoptera were described as new for science: of them 3 new genera and 31 new species are of extant hymenopterans, and 2 subfamilies, 17 genera and 73 species are of fossils (extinct) hymenopterans. The scientific achievements of the department were reported in 147 publications: namely 4 monographs, 4 chapters in collective monographs and 139 articles, of which 6 are in proceedings, and 133 articles are in scientific periodicals, 57 of which were published in journals with impact-factor ranged from 0.388 to 8.122. In addition, the results were presented on conferences and other meetings and resulted in 53 published abstracts of such presentations. Also, 5 popular science reviews were published as an outreach approach. In general, the conducted research revealed the features of morphology, parasitoid-host relationships, distribution, phylogeny and evolution of the studied groups of hymenopterans, as well as discussed the prospects of their use in nature conservation and biological crop protection.
