The nucleotide composition of the Lip L 32 gene was studied to determine its theoretical suitability for primer design. Bioinformatic analysis of conserved regions of the lipoprotein gene of the outer membrane Lip L of 32 pathogenic leptospira revealed conserved regions, which made it possible to select specific primers for PCR. Two PCR test systems have been developed: a test system for indicating the DNA of pathogenic leptospira by PCR with electrophoretic detection of research results and a test system for indicating the DNA of pathogenic leptospira using real-time PCR. A modification of the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method using the recombinant protein LipL 32 as an antigen for the diagnosis of leptospirosis has been created. This method allows the detection of class M antibodies to all pathogenic leptospira species in the blood serum of cattle, pigs and dogs.
