The addition of extruded amaranth grain to the experimental compound feed in the amount of 15% provided a 10.8% increase in the average daily gain of growing piglets and a 9.4% decrease in feed conversion. The use of the extruded amaranth grain in the amount of 15% in the compound feed for growing and fattening pigs promoted the increased digestibility of dry matter of feed by 2.7-6.5%, organic matter by 2.3-4.9%, crude protein by 5-8% and provided an average daily gain increase in growing animals of the experimental groups up to 600 g, or 11%, and in fattening pigs – to 861 g, or 12%. Recommendations for the use of amaranth grain in compound feeds have been developed. The information database has been supplemented with indicators of the chemical composition of extruded amaranth grain.
