Mechnikov Institute of Microbiology and Immunology National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" popup.description2 The subjects of the study were 195 strains of microorganisms: 104 strains of E. coli (55 clinical strains isolated from patients with purulent-inflammatory infections, and 49 museum); 91 strains of microorganisms of the genus Staphylococcus (68 clinical strains isolated from patients with purulent-inflammatory infections, and 23 museum). Research methods: microbiological, physical, bioinformation, molecular genetic, mathematical and statistical. The viability and taxonomic correspondence of lyophilized museum strains of E. coli and S. aureus were studied. The efficiency of lyophilization and cryopreservation as a method of preservation of collection strains of microorganisms is confirmed. genus Staphylococcus and Escherichia. A comparative analysis of antibiotic susceptibility profiles of strains isolated in preantibiotic, metaantibiotic and modern periods. In modern clinical strains of E. coli and S. aureus, an increase in the level and spectrum of antibiotic resistance has been established. According to the results of the bioinformation analysis, it was found that among the genes encoding the production of beta-lactamases in E. coli, the largest number of evolutionary divergences of nucleotide sequences was found in the blaTEM gene in contrast to the mecA gene S. aureus, which was characterized by high evolutionary conservatism. Molecular genetic studies revealed blaTEM and blaSHV genes in 28.7% of penicillin- and early cephalosporin-resistant museum strains of E. coli.  Product Description popup.authors Bolshakova Halina M Krestetska Svitlana L Peretyatko Elena G.
