One of the current problems of modern veterinary pharmacology is the development of reliable means of prevention of postpartum infections and subclinical mastitis in cows, by creating new domestic, effective, adapted to specific physiological aspects of the animal body drugs that would take into account the sensitivity of pathogens to antibacterial drugs and not excreted in milk. Animal diseases were monitored during the research work. The microbial contamination of the genitals of cows, animal skin was studied. The sensitivity of isolated species of microorganisms to chemotherapeutic drugs, essential oils was determined. According to the results obtained in the farm, recommendations for changes in antibiotics used for the treatment and prevention of postpartum pathology in cows. The only drugs that were sensitive to all studied strains, including multidrug-resistant Staph. saprohyticus and Str. faecalis, were "Ceftiozol" and "Iodozol", which should be recommended for inclusion in a comprehensive scheme of treatment and prevention of postpartum endometritis in cows.
