The subject of research is the representation, integration and recontextualization of Western European discourses in the domestic humanitarian space. The purpose of the project is to investigate latent Western European traditions that functioned in the field of officially-legitimized ideology that prevailed in the humanities of Soviet Ukraine. The implementation results of Stage II: the elaboration of the methodological basis of the study is completed. In particular, the criteria for the use of notions "Ukrainian philosophy" / "philosophy in Ukraine" of the Soviet era as well as the principles of their application considering the specific of the research subject were grounded; an analysis of the Western European influences on the forming of the Kyiv philosophical school has been conducted. Traditions of positivism, social philosophy and philosophical anthropology were developed there within that time; the beginnings and conditions of further developments of such phenomena as "red positivism" and "red existentialism" within the Kyiv philosophical school have been studied; it was shown that in the 50-60's of the XX century the sociological science slowly aroused through the incorporation of certain achievements of Western sociological schools as well as that the structure of these incorporations was quite complex and multilevel. Scientific novelty: a new approach to the assessment of the humanitarian element in the official ideological discourse of the Soviet period has been implemented; it clearly demonstrates that certain aspects and segments of the humanitarian thought in the Ukrainian SSR, like philosophical and sociological ones, contained direct or indirect incorporations of Western European relevant scientific achievements of that period; all above mentioned incorporations played quite significant role in the formation and development of a number of areas of the Product Description popup.authors Grabovskaya Irina M.
