Kurdyumov IMPh of the N.A.S.U. popup.description2 Mechanisms of wear and corrosion of 1045 steel surface after separately and consistently applied laser thermal treatment (LTT) and ultrasonic impact treatment (UIT) are established. Combined treatment LTT + UIT leads to the increased resistance to corrosion and wear due to the formation of nanoscale martensitic structure of the surface layer and accelerated formation of denser oxide films on the surface. The results of experimental researches are generalized and the efficiency of the UIT application for increase cyclic durability of the welded joints of steel and aluminum constructions is substantiated.
