Registration Date 04-02-2021 Organization National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" popup.description2  The object of study is the processes of formation of nanostructured composites and metal oxide coatings with high activity in electro- and photocatalytic reactions. The aim of the work is to create scientific bases for the synthesis of nanostructured metal oxide composites for catalytic converters of reagent-free neutralization of toxicants in filter ventilation systems and reduction of toxic emissions of transport engines due to in-cylinder catalysis, as well as new knowledge for high technology development in Ukraine. Research methods - voltammetry, potentiometry, scanning electron spectroscopy, X-ray fluorescence method, X-ray phase analysis, atomic force microscopy, photocolorimetry. Scientific and methodological bases of the newest paradigm of surface engineering in the field of electrochemical design of functional materials by inversion of elements of metal oxide composites by variation of technological bases and integration in a single cycle of several galvanochemical methods are created. The principles of synthesis of metal oxide composites due to the incorporation of intermediates of electrode reactions, mainly products of reduction of oxometallates in intermediate oxidation states, into the structure-forming matrices are proposed. In this way, metal oxide composites were created without the addition of extraneous phases, which significantly increased the stability and resource of electrolytes and eliminated the use of suspension solutions. The technological principles of control of the composition of heteroxide coatings on aluminum and titanium alloys have been improved and it has been proved that the specific surface control is an effective factor in controlling the photocatalytic activity of the material. Evaluation of the morphology of heteroxide coatings was performed based on the results of determining their fractality, which revealed the most effective catalytic systems for the disintegration of toxicants under UV irradiation.
