Our experience indicates the need for meticulous selection of patients for this operation. Indications for organ-sparing surgery on the gallbladder are the complete absence of inflammatory (acute) changes in the gallbladder wall, patency of the gallbladder duct and the presence of exclusively pigmented stones. A fundamentally new approach to the treatment of uncomplicated gallbladder calculosis in hereditary spherocytosis has been developed - the method of cholecystotomy with lithoextraction, the advantage of which is the preservation of the physiological function of the bile ducts.
