Grishka NAS of Ukraine popup.description2  The project is aimed at a comprehensive study of secondary metabolites of vascular plants in Antarctica as a possible source of valuable biologically active substances, promising for the creation of materials based on them for various functional purposes. The aim of the project is a comparative study of the biochemical composition and antioxidant / restorative properties of extracts extracted from the leaves of plants of different populations of Deschampsia antarctica E. Desv. from the area of the Antarctic station Academician Vernadsky, and extracted from plants grown in vitro from seeds originating from the same localities. The research was conducted using Antarctic specimens taken during the season in the 25th UAE and in previous Ukrainian Antarctic expeditions. The result of this work was a complex physicochemical characteristics of the pool of secondary metabolites of D. antarctica extracted from natural raw materials and from plants cultivated in vitro; identification of effective antioxidants / reducing agents of natural origin.
