The high efficiency of the process of iron removal and demanganization of water in the form of their compounds by a ceramic membrane on the clay minerals has been installed. It was investigated the influence of concentrations of Fe(III) and Mn(II) in the initial solution, its pH, working pressure, process duration and the presence of macrocomponents typical of natural waters (chlorides, sulfates, bicarbonates, calcium and sodium) on the separation properties of the membrane at the total salinity of the solution, which did not exceed the MAC of the total mineralization of drinking water. It was defined physicochemical regularities of the process of water purification with a ceramic membrane from Mn(II) compounds formed at pH0 8.3 – 8.4, and consisting in the oxidation of ionic forms of Mn(II) upon contact with water-soluble oxygen to sparingly soluble oxide- hydroxide forms of Mn of different valence (Mn(OH)2, MnO(OH), MnO2). It was found that such a membrane can purify water from Mn(II) compounds to the norm of its MAC in drinking water at an initial manganese concentration of up to 33 mg/dm3, pH 8.4, working pressure 1.0 MPa.
