Recommendations are developed for choosing methods for determining the calorific value and methods for analyzing the composition of natural gas for their application in gas metering systems in units of energy. A technique for evaluating the uncertainties of calorific value and energy amount of natural gas is developed. The obtained results are the basis for developing a computer-aided system for designing the thermal energy metering devices in units of energy.
