For the experiment to determine the exterior and meat parameters of young rabbits obtained from purebred mating and crossing, the method of pairs-analogues, formed 3 groups of young rabbits (aged 35 days) for 20 heads each. The study showed that crossbreeding has a positive effect on the reproductive qualities of rabbits, especially in the combination of females of the breed Poltava silver with males Soviet chinchilla. The indicators of rabbits from this combination (PShRSH) outweighed the control group (PShPS) in terms of multiplicity by 2.9%, in terms of high fertility by probably 6.4%, by milk yield by probably 3.8%, by the number of weaned rabbits by 2.9% 0.05), the weight of the nest weaned at 35 days by 8.7% (p <0,01). The obtained young from three variants of combinations was evaluated by external, fattening and lifelong meat indicators at weaning (35 days) and at 3 months of age. The rate of breast girth had a significant difference in the local young rabbits of Poltava silver origin, New Zealand white - p <0,05 and prevailed analogues by 2.3 cm. In terms of fattening, and especially in terms of meat and slaughter characteristics, local young rabbits of Poltava silver and New Zealand white origin predominated. at the age of 90 days (p <0.05) at 144 g. Kings of this origin according to the index of beating prevailed over analogues of the 2nd group by 4.11%, and purebred young animals of the 1st group by 8.26%.
