It is necessary to explore psychological features of experiencing these events for optimal realization of possibilities to help and secure people in such conditions. Object of the research: psychological aspects of emergency crises experiencing in a person's life. Aim of the research: to investigate psychological features of extreme crisis events being experienced by a human being. Methods of the research: theoretical analysis and synthesis, data generalization, classification, induction, deduction, observation. Theoretical and practical results are related to further development of «experiencing» as a psychological category; analysis of psychological features of experiencing various events; functional-genetic approach in research of peculiarities of human psychological life; implementation of ideas from L.S. Vygotsky’s cultural and historical theory in specific research projects; by the study of different aspects of experiencing of extreme crisis events; description of possibilities for psychological help and support for people who experience extreme crises; application of the research ideas during teaching such educational cources as «Personality Psychology», «Higher mental functions Psychology», «Psychology of experiencing», «Methodology and theory of psychology» and others. Research novelty includes peculiarities of «experiencing» concept that is studied for the first time as a psychological category within domain of a person’s psychological life during extreme crisis events. Categorical structure of «experiencing» concept is analyzed for the first time using L.S. Vygotsky’s cultural and historical theory.
