The objective of research is to increase the productivity of crops grown on the farm by optimizing certain elements of cultivation technology, primarily by selecting most productive hybrids resistant to most common diseases in the area. In the course of research the analysis of soil and climatic conditions, availability of equipment at the farm of subsidiary agricultural enterprise "Likarivka-2", analysis of the existing technology of growing corn and sunflower were carried out, and the areas for improving technology of growing these crops were identified. The main stage of improving the technology of growing corn and sunflower, in our case, is to conduct field experiments at the farm. Recordings and observations conducted in the field and laboratory conditions identified best options that provide highest productivity per unit area. Analysis of the results obtained during field experiments shows that for cultivation it is necessary to choose modern hybrids that respond well to the application of mineral fertilizers and are able to form significant yields in the conditions of unstable moisture, as well as resistance and high tolerance to major diseases. Elements of improvement of cultivation technology of corn and sunflower are offered, efficiency of use of fertilizers at the agricultural enterprise is provided, and propositions concerning selection of hybrids of sunflower for cultivation on herbicidal technology have been developed.
